This everyday cushioned road runner has a breathable and structured engineered mesh upper for ultimate comfort and all-day wearability.
Engineered Mesh Upper
Featuring an engineered mesh upper, the New Balance 880 provides increased breathability in key areas whilst offering a snug fit. This mesh keeps feet secure within the shoes, whilst allowing fresh, cool air to travel around your foot for an optimum level of comfort. In addition, a seamless design means reduced weight plus a minimal risk of rubbing and blisters, while the soft, plush tongue secures the midfoot and prevents stones from entering, further enhancing comfort. Completing the upper, the shoes have a traditional lacing system to provide a secure, locked-in fit, reducing in-shoe slipping.
Fresh Foam X Midsole
The 880v15 utilises New Balance's Fresh Foam X cushioning. The latest model of Fresh Foam technology is a more energetic rebound than its predecessor. Absorbing shock impact, the Fresh Foam X midsole protects joints against stress when striking down on hard, unforgiving surfaces without compromising a responsive, natural ride. Delivering plush underfoot cushioning, the midsole is a fusion of plush foam and advanced design, creating an ultra-cushioned and geometrically sound ride. Fresh Foam encourages a smooth heel-toe transition, reduces damage to the muscles and in turn, diminishes fatigue, allowing you to push further for longer. This midsole uses approximately 3% bio-based content to offer a smaller carbon footprint whilst still providing incredible comfort.
Durable Rubber Outsole
Designed to provide unrivalled traction and durability, the outsole of the 880v15 has been constructed using a durable rubber outsole. The rubber delivers an abundance of grip and traction to help fill you with confidence, stride after stride. The highly durable outsole can maintain its high level of performance no matter what is put in its path. The rubber provides a perfect balance of exceptional grip and a soft underfoot feel.
